WHO WE ARE:
Mary Somerville
As a lifelong resident of Warren County, a Wife, a Mother of three, Minister, Law Enforcement retiree of 16 years, owner/operator of K & G Family Care Home; a friend
approached me 2 ½ years ago and asked, “Mary, do you think a Free Clinic could work here in Warren County?” I
immediately answered yes, definitely yes! We can have anything in Warren County if we’re willing to work for it.” What started out as a core
group of three -
Daria Holcomb
My commitment to healthcare began in 1968 when I obtained my license as a registered nurse. Subsequently, during the course of my career, I became disabled and began to do volunteer work to the best of my abilities which led to receiving the NC Governor’s Volunteer of the Year Award.
It has taken many, many, months, days and hours of planning and hard work to bring
the dream of a Free Clinic to fruition for the uninsured of our county; but the Free
Clinic is now a reality. Serving as a member of the Warren County Board of Health
for nine years increased my desire to see that all County residents have access to
quality care, as is their right -

The Warren County Free Clinic is grateful to the generous contribution of our Board of Directors. They have sacrificed their time, energy, and finances to make this clinic a success. Their expertise and wise counsel has served as the brick and mortar of this new health facility in Warren County. They have met the call of service and exceeded their duty. Their nobility is exceeded only by their courage and diligence. Warren County is fortunate to have them shepherding its new “Free Clinic”.
